For 45 years, Alden has represented small businesses, individual bankruptcy trustees, receivers, executors, guardians in business and litigation matters. He regularly appears in the Rhode Island Trial Courts and Probate Courts , U.S. District Court and has argued cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the Fifth Circuit and the RI Supreme Court. He is a member of the RI Bar Association and a fellow of the RI Bar Foundation. He has been Executive Director of the RI Legal Services program; he later served as Chair of its Board of Directors.
Alden currently serves on the Town of Warren Zoning Board of Review and is a past Chair of the Board. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Chapel Hill Chauncy-Hall School in Waltham, MA. He has received the highest AV peer-rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
Alden is a graduate of Harvard College and the University Of Virginia School Of Law.
Peter has over 30 years of extensive experience representing lenders, investors, creditors, debtors and Trustees in bankruptcy, receiverships, workouts, general insolvency related matters and commercial litigation. He regularly serves, by Rhode Island Superior Court appointment, as Receiver, Master and Examiner for insolvent corporations and in commercial disputes. He is also counsel to several individuals and Rhode Island corporations and is responsible for handling their ordinary course business issues.
His memberships include the American Bar Association, the Rhode Island Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute and he is a fellow of the Rhode Island Bar Foundation.
Peter is admitted to practice law in the State and District Courts of Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and is a member of the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
He has received the highest AV peer-rating by Martindale-Hubbell and since 2007 has been selected as a “New England Super Lawyer” in Bankruptcy and creditor/debtor’s rights based on a peer review survey.
Peter is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law.
Our partner Andrew S. Richardson, a prominent and highly respected bankruptcy attorney, passed away unexpectedly in April, 2014. Andy practiced for over 30 years and successfully argued cases before the Rhode Island Supreme Court, the District Courts and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. He was a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Panel Trustee for the District of Rhode Island handling over 10,000 cases including The Newport Creamery, Rocky Point and Forte Bros Construction.
